Why the Red Rotor Arm Matters – Pride EP8224

Many traditional rotor arms used on classic vehicles were manufactured with a two-piece construction, where the metal conductor strip was secured to the plastic body using a rivet.

With age, vibration and repeated heat cycles, this type of construction can become a potential weak point. A loose or deteriorating connection can contribute to poor ignition performance or, in some cases, allow the high-voltage spark to track through the rotor arm rather than being delivered correctly to the spark plugs.

The Pride EP8224 Red Rotor Arm provides an upgraded solution for classic ignition systems. Its improved construction uses an integrally moulded conductor, removing the need for the traditional riveted connection and helping provide reliable electrical insulation and consistent spark distribution.

Manufactured using modern insulating materials, EP8224 is particularly suited to well-maintained classic vehicles and ignition systems using upgraded coils or electronic ignition conversions.
